Many were dating. The number of dating sites matching white men with black women seems unnerving to me. If you want to look at an example of institutionalized racism's impact on the modern world, look at "jim crow" laws as they were practiced throughout the southern US, and defacto in the rest of the US. In all this they were proved right. My dating roster reflects those social encounters. I don't think so. I recognize that people have a preference when it comes to looks, but to only seek a person from one race amidst a history of a structural power division should not be exempt from arguments of internalized racism and self-hate.
